Garden Show Programme 2008



Friday Evening 20th June 2008
We will have a GALA EVENING from 6pm - 9.30 This is a private event by Invitation only, and has very kindly been jointly sponsored by R.K.HARRISON INSURANCE BROKERS LTD & VERNON PROPERTY MANAGEMENT LTD
There will be wine and lots of food in these beautiful gardens and we will have the accompaniment of a Swing Band.
Tickets will be £15 each For an invitation please e mail our Office.

The Show will be open from 10am - 6pm each day
Entry Fee - £7 Children under 15 Free. No other concessions.
Groups of 20 or more may obtain advance Group Entry Tickets at £5 each. (See Group Page).

BURTON BROTHERS SHOW GARDENS with the Green/ Eco theme is open to Garden Designers and Horticultural Colleges. Please go to Show Gardens Page for details and entry form
NFU MUTUAL SCHOOLS 'Grub in a tub' competition - create an edible garden in a container; this is open to all Schools in surrounding Counties - please go to Grub in Tub page to see details and obtain an entry form to send to us.
SILENT AUCTION , run by Huntingdon Cromwell Rotary Club - we have just started the collection of items for this auction - if you have anything that you think might be suitable please make contact; we expect some excellent items available for sale, and all will be offered on the basis that they will be sold without reserve at 4pm on Sunday 22nd June. Possible lots include "Visit to the Gallops at Newmarket", "Breakfast at a racing Stable", a day's shooting, Sporting Tickets, Tea at House of Commons, Flights etc.

ANTIQUES VALUATIONS by CHEFFINS of Cambridge. Bring along your items for Valuation
100 TRADE STANDS.
HOT & COLD FOOD will be available all day provided by our Caterers and will include
Grill - English Hog Roast - Traditional English Sausages - The Deli - French Crepes - Tea & Coffee - Pimms & Beer Bar
STRUTT & PARKER TEA GARDEN - Afternoon Teas will be provided in the Tea Garden from 2 -5.30 pm by Huntingdon & Peterborough Federation of Womens Institute. Tea supplied by 'Yorkshire Tea', and coffee from M&S. THERE IS A CHARGE of £2,50 PER PERSON for Tea & Cake.
DISABLED ACCESS is possible but is limited in some areas. There are Bridges to reach parts of the Garden. There is quite a long distance from the Car & Coach Parks to the Gardens and Trade Stand Area.
BRASS BANDS - We are pleased to welcome the City of Cambridge Brass Band and March Brass Bands to entertain us during the weekend.
BBC CAMBRIDGESHIRE will be broadcasting live from the Gardens on Sunday 22nd June 11am-1pm
SUNDAY SERVICE - PRAISE IN THE GARDEN - 10.30 Sunday 22nd June- The Bishop of Ely will join us for an informal interdominational service in the Garden, with the Brampton Youth Band & local Choirs. We hope to make this a truly spirtual start to our Sunday in the Gardens. Those attending the service will need to pay normal entrance to the show but as the whole show is in aid of local Charities we will not be taking a collection during this service.

PICNICS - Only allowed in the Car Parks Area.
