Following is the 2012 Programme of the Abbots Ripton Hall Garden Show.

Friday Evening 29th June 2012

We will have a GALA EVENING  from 6pm - 9.00 for which we are now seeking Sponsors. This is a private event by Invitation only. There will be wine and lots of food in these beautiful gardens and we will have the accompaniment of a leading the Parachute Regiment Band who we hope will 'Beat the Retreat' on the lawns.

Tickets are by Invitation only with a minimum donation of £15 each.  For an invitation please e mail your name and address to our Office, and we will send out Invitations in March 2012.   To nigel@garden-shows.com

Saturday 30th June & Sunday 1st July 2012.

The Show will be open from 10am - 6pm each day

 Entry Fee -  Adults £8   Children under 15  Free.   No other concessions.

The main features apart from the beautiful  Gardens will include

Main Marquee -

Gardening talks by various speakers inlucing Steve Brookes, BBC Gardening Presenter and Author will present 'The Greatest Gardening Tips in the World'

Cookery Demonstrations

SCHOOLS/YOUTH  'Grow a Rainbow ' competition - The theme for the Flowering Container competition will be ‘GROW A RAINBOW’ and the finished container can be anything in which the plants can grow successfully. See seperate Page.

Container Garden  - Open to Garden Clubs and Idividuals..

FOOD SHOW - A number of local Producers of Food & Drinks will have their products on sale.

SILENT AUCTION ,  Very kindly sponsored   

This is being run by Dreamdrops Childrens Charity & Ormiston Childrens & Families Trust - we have just started the collection of items for this auction - if you have anything that you think might be suitable please make contact; we expect some excellent items available for sale, and all will be offered on the basis that they will be sold without reserve at 4pm on Sunday1st July 2012. Possible lots include "Visit to the Gallops at Newmarket", "Breakfast at a racing Stable", a day's shooting, Sporting Tickets, Tea at House of Commons, Flights  etc.  Please HELP US by Donating a Lot for this Auction . If you can offer a Prize lot this would be much appreciated

We will note be holding an Art Show or Antiques Valuations in 2012.

80 +  TRADE STANDS.  Over 20 Stands have already booked their stalls.

HOT & COLD FOOD  will be available all day . Details will be added later but may include..

Grill  -  English Hog Roast  -   Traditional English Sausages  -  The Deli  -  French Crepes  - Tea & Coffee -  Pimms & Beer Bar

SAFFREY CHAMPNEES TEA GARDEN - Afternoon Teas will be provided in the Tea Garden from 11.30am  -5.30 pm by Huntingdon & Peterborough Federation of  Womens Institute. Tea supplied by 'Yorkshire Tea', and coffee from M&S.  THERE IS A CHARGE of £2,50 PER PERSON for Tea & Cake.

DISABLED ACCESS  is possible  but is limited in some areas. There are Bridges  to reach parts of the Garden. There is quite a long distance from the Car & Coach Parks to the Gardens and Trade Stand Area.

BRASS BANDS - We are pleased to welcome  again a number of Bands to play in the gardens throughout the weekend.

BBC CAMBRIDGESHIRE  - We hope they will be broadcasting live from the Gardens again in 2012.  

SUNDAY SERVICE - PRAISE IN THE GARDEN -  10.30 Sunday 1st July -  In the ROSE CIRCLE.    

We again plan an  informal  interdominational service in the Rose Garden to be led by the Bishop of Ely , with  Band & local Choirs. We hope to make this a truly spirtual start to our Sunday in the Gardens. Those attending the service will need to pay normal entrance to the show but as the whole show is in aid of local Charities we will not be taking a collection during this service.

NO DOGS , except Guide Dogs.

PICNICS - Only allowed in the PICNIC AREA  Car Parks  Area.
